![]() this is less of an issue with your setup, but a significant issue dealing with multiple sites that each have 100+ cameras, and you want unified behavior. plus you don't end up forgetting what you set into one camera that seems to be misbehaving. I always recommend leaving the analytics to the VMS, that way you can make changes w/o having to log directly into each camera, and you can make system wide adjustments more easily. Many cameras can do onboard analytics, but the VMS can do it as well. This gives you better use of feature sets not available through an ONVIF packaged stream. Milestone can talk to 200+ camera vendors in their native transmission formats. ![]() ONVIF is only a standard of encoding video. RAM: Minimum 2 GB (4 GB or more recommended). One of the things I don't understand about how these ONVIF systems integrate with the cameras is if you set up motion detection is it the Milestone machine that's performing the image analysis or the camera itself?
